The Venue

500 metres above sea level and surrounded by mountains, the village of Yeşil Üzümlü is the perfect place to get away from the worries of day to day existence.

Translating literally as "green with grape" Yeşil Üzümlü has retained a simpler, more traditional way of life where people grow their own food, and village women weave cloth (known as "Dastar") on wooden looms that hark back to days gone by. Don't be surprised if you have to stop to let the goatherd move their flock of goats!

We host the Realms of Possibility holidays at our old, stone house named Sakin Bahçe (Tranquil Garden) tucked away at the end of a road, but only 5 minutes on foot from the village square.

Sakin Bahçe was renovated with much loving care, and the aim of maintaining the character and integrity of the original building whilst providing some of the comforts of modern living.

We sourced locally, and used as many natural materials as we could to minimise the impact on the environment. We also engaged the best available local trades' people providing employment within the community.

This spacious, comfortable house has 7 bedrooms situated over 3 floors; 3 have en-suite facilities and the other 4 bedrooms share a further 2 bathrooms. All the bedrooms have air conditioning.

The house is surrounded by a walled garden with an oval "infinity" edge swimming pool. Sit and relax surrounded by trees and flowers whilst listening to the trickle of water as it gently falls from the edge of the pool.

This is a place of tranquillity and nature. A place to "stand and stare"; to take in the beauty of the scenery, watch a dragonfly, hear the birds sing, feel the warmth of the sun on your skin. A place where you can find yourself.
